pre-post care
Regular Brow Care
Please come to all brow appointments without makeup. If you are receiving a wax or tint (regular tint, hybrid, henna) please spray tan 24 hours AFTER your brow session. This also includes using home self tanner lotions, and drops.
Fluffy Brow Care
Please come without makeup and avoid water for 24 hours. Once your brows have set, use your wand to brush the brows in an upward position after contact with water.
DO NOT let brows air dry without setting the brows back into Fluffy position.
Once dried, you can position the brows any way you'd like with or without product.
Using water based products are recommended over oil based but not necessary.
Avoid contact with heat (opening ovens, BBQ's, saunas) for the first 24 hours as well. Be mindful of sleeping on your face. Laying on your back is suggested for the first night.
Lash Lift & Tint
Please come without any eye makeup! Wearing eye makeup to your appointment can change the results of your lash lift.
For first 24-hours after treatment, the following should be avoided.
Heat, saunas, and steam (including stove-top cooking – the perfect excuse to get a takeout!)
Water
Oils
Shampoos
Lotions and creams
Face wash
Makeup remover
Using a makeup cloth around your brows to wash your face is okay as long as the brows themselves are not getting wet.
tips for optimal lash lift results
As lashes are still malleable, sleeping on your back is the best position to avoid the lashes dropping on either side. You should also be careful when taking clothes on and off over your head, avoiding any contact with the lashes.
When returning to using face washes, avoid products which are quite oily in nature as this can cause lashes to lose their lift prematurely.
Resist the temptation to touch the lashes during the first few days after treatment. This will help to maintain the ‘lift’ effect while settling into their desired new shape.
lash lifts last up to three months, so usually for the entire life cycle of the eyelashes. Clients can come in for a top up to restore the long-lash effects
Body waxing
Pre-Waxing Care:
Personal hygiene rules! Please bathe and or freshen up before your Brazilian, bikini or body wax treatment.
Skip the lotions Do not apply self tanners, body sprays, deodorants and other topical creams before your appointment.
Let it grow out! If you have been shaving, allow a minimum of 2-3 weeks or ¼ inch of hair growth.
Avoid heat. No tanning beds, hot tubs and saunas before your appointment.
Exfoliate! Exfoliating the area gently 24 hours before your appointment will remove the dead skin cells and allow for a cleaner wax.
Be comfy. Wear loose comfortable clothing to prevent irritation after waxing.
Post-Waxing
Heightened sensitivity may be experienced in the area waxed for the next 24-48 hours.
Avoid heat. No tanning, sun bathing, hot tubs or saunas for 48 hours after your treatment. Since a layer of dead skin cells have been removed, sun and or heat exposure can burn the skin.
No hot baths or exercising for 2 hours following your treatment.
Apply a cold compress to soothe the skin if you experience sensitivity or irritation after your treatment. Hydro-cortisone cream also reduces the redness and irritation following your treatment.
Exfoliate daily 48 hours after your treatment. We offer a nice selection of exfoliating products to help you maintain your wax and eliminate ingrowns. Try our ingrown hair/breakout serums or our mild natural sugar scrubs.
Spray Tans
Before your session
If you need to take a shower before your appointment. Take it 3 hours prior to the session and rinse only.
Shave, wax and exfoliate the skin at least 24 hours prior to the appointment. It's important to allow the amino acids to reconstruct as DHA needs amino Acid to develop. Also, the pores need time to close before applying the solution. Otherwise, the cosmetic bronzer can soak into the pores.
Exfoliate the skin 2-4 times
Do not use lotions, Oil based exfoliating products, gels, or waxing/shaving creams. These could leave residue on the skin and deny the solution from developing correctly.
Do not wear makeup, cream, sunscreen, perfume or deodorant.
Moisturize then skin days prior to the session (not the day of)
The application can be done with or without undergarments or bathing suit. Wearing baggy and dark clothes is recommended for after the session. The accelerators present in the NUDA products could temporarily soil your clothes or bedsheets.
**Exfoliation is the MOST important tip to follow in order to achieve an optimal result that will last up to 10 days. The use of simple exfoliating soap doesn't suffice. A good scrub will allow the elimination of all the dead skin cells and impurities from the body. Pay attention to rough areas like the top of the feet, heels, ankles, elbows, armpits, knuckles, collarbones, etc.
If the exfoliation hasn't been done properly, the result/or fading could be uneven, and the result could disappear prematurely and/or in the form of blots. NUDA products have been designed to fade gradually and evenly, when the skin is properly exfoliated. On the contrary. the dead skin cells will be eliminated naturally and leave white spots on the tan.
AFTER YOUR TAN
Wait 8-12 hours or 1-5 hours before showering, depending on the solution. This is the period of time required for the development of NUDA spray tanning solutions.
Avoid activities that provoke sweating or any contact with liquid during development period. If it's raining or snowing outside, wear long and covering clothes. NO SWEATING!
Do not apply cream or makeup on the skin during development period.
If the session takes place in the evening, go to bed wearing long clothes. ( Cover legs, arms to avoid skin to skin contact.)
Rinse the whole body and face throughly to prevent the cosmetic bronzer )temporary level) from leaking afterwards. Rinse until the water is clear. For the first shower, we recommend not using soap.
Moisturize the skin daily with an appropriate lotion. Use the NUDA body lotion for the best results.
Use the NUDA self tanning lotion to expand your spray tan result.
Do not exfoliate the skin for the duration of the result. When the tan starts to fade, it's essential to exfoliate the skin again in order to remove old tan residue.
Use soft facial cleaners. Avoid oily or exfoliating products as well as brushes. Do not wax areas where the solution has been applied. A delicate shaving may be done occasionally.
Sweating excessively while sleeping or spending time in jacuzzis or saunas, taking long hot baths or showers on a daily basis, participating in activities that may cause sweating can cause the product to fade away faster.
Avoid lotions, soaps, body washes made with mineral oils, petroleum and alcohol. These ingredients can affect the results and cause faster fading.
